Domaine d’Eugenie

The Domaine d’Eugenie was born when François Pinault purchased the estate from René Engel in July 2006, located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte-de-Nuits between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin. The village is widely considered to be the jewel in the crown of the region, bearing some of the greatest wines of Burgundy.

Since 2009, Domaine d’Eugenie has been located in Rue de la Goillotte in the centre of Vosne-Romanée in the old Clos Frantin, now called Clos d’Eugenie. Major works were undertaken to create a fully equipped, state-of-the-art winery, and today the vat room has wooden, temperature-controlled vats with various capacities to enable rigorous, precise work, vinification plot by plot, yielding wines which accurately reflect the diversity and complexity of the estate’s terroirs.

The plots owned by the domaine cover a total planted area of 4.51 ha and are located across the villages of Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. The estate produces wine from nine appellations overall.

Frédéric Engerer manages the estate, along with Château Latour, Château-Grillet, Eisele Vineyard, Clos de Tart, part of a team of two experienced winegrowers with a broad range of skills. With humility, patience and passion, this team is on a continual quest for excellence.

Wines from Domaine d’Eugenie are usually available on allocation only. Please contact us to enquire on availability.
