Domaine Tupinier-Bautista

The Tupinier-Bautista family have been producing fine wines on the slopes of Mercurey at the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise since 1770. Located in the small hamlet of Touches at the foot of the Saint-Symphorien church, they are a key part of the local community and have developed their parcel of unique terroir, to which they are so deeply connected, to now include a brand new cellar, built in 2016 and covering an area of over 400m2.

This modern winery is equipped with all the latest technology, and is dug deep into the rock itself, with a constant temperature all year round allowing them to optimise the development of wines in oak barrels. The family also adapt their cultivation and vinification methods to suit the characteristics of each of their labels, in order to optimise the expression of terroir, and optimise the structure and generosity of their finest wines.

It was in 1997 that Manu Bautista succeeded his stepfather to the estate, and whilst preserving the savoir-faire of the previous generations, this transfer from one generation to another brought modernity, and today Manu is the proud cultivator of eleven hectares of vines. The pleasure that he takes in their production can be clearly felt in the taste of the wines, which exude quality and character alongside an approachability which makes these ideal wines for all occasions.
